VANCOUVER, B.C. - June 5, 2001 - barter.com Corporation has today announced
it will be changing its name, effective immediately, to Recipco Corporation.
"The name change to Recipco Corporation is congruent with our business model
and more accurately addresses the multinational corporate focus for the
company," said Barry Davenport, Chief Executive Officer of Recipco
Corporation.
Recipco Corporation is a privately funded, early stage company headquartered
in Vancouver, B.C. Incorporated in 1998, Recipco has been developing an
Internet-enabled exchange marketplace for worldwide non-monetary
transactions. Recipco will function as a highly efficient electronic
exchange marketplace that will facilitate reciprocal transactions, supplying
optimal information for better decision-making and access to relevant
services. At the core of the Recipco Corp. business is an Internet-enabled
system using credits as the unit of exchange and enabling all parties to
transact with much lower friction.
